In 1987 John and Vicki Ott purchased the old Rocheport School circa 1914 and after 15 months of an extensive renovation of this historic building they opened the School House Bed & Breakfast in the spring of 1988. Penny Province joined the School House in 1992 and is now a co-owner and the manager of the inn. As a bed and breakfast, The School House has won several honors and distinctions over the years:
